He has been willing to physically help the girl during tight situations, which is what happened when a knight put her in danger. Ferdinand only made his entrance when the two sides were almost at their breakpoint, but it was still enough to give Myne's group room to breathe. The two groups quickly engaged each other with magical attacks, resulting in both sides receiving casualties - but both nobles remained uninjured. They were hoping to receive Ferdinand's support and defense, but they encountered the bishop and Count Bindewald instead. After saving Myne and Tuuli from their assailants, the group sought refuge in the cathedral.
